The kitchen is not worth mentioning, nice ambience, loveless dishes on the plate, but for many it is still part of their island vacation. That is just a matter of taste and therefore OK.

Nice cozy eatery right on the beach. You can warm up there in the afternoon with a delicious East Frisian tea and a cream puff or have a delicious meal in the evening. The menu really has something for everyone - whether fish, meat or veggie 😊

The fantastic view of the sea is second to none ... Cozy and delicious. In addition, we have always received friendly service so far.

Been there again after many years, very nice view of the water. Was there for coffee or tea time. Unfortunately no homemade cake, but frozen food.

The food is delicious 😋 The staff is very friendly, children and dogs are always very welcome. I can only recommend. If you are on Borkum, you should definitely not miss out on secret love. Because that is Borkum!

Very nice restaurant with a great view. Dogs are also welcome. Were here to enjoy coffee and cake. There was a lot of choice. And everything was delicious. Extra requests like sauce were also dealt with separately.

Location and view perfect. Unfortunately a bit old on the inside and not quite as clean as you would imagine ... At dinner yesterday the starter was completely forgotten :(

Unfortunately we couldn't eat anything there as I can't eat salted fries! When asked if I could have a french fries without salt, I was told that there might still be some salt left! For us, this means that the fries cannot come in a fresh bowl. We wanted to give the restaurant another chance! Up until a year ago we ate a lot and left a lot of tips. Only then were we suddenly told that it is difficult with the fries without salt! But I got it there. Unfortunately, I only had my cutlery, knife and fork available for my dish from the pan (meat and bacon beans) to get the food on my plate! Until then, the food tasted very good. That's why there is a star! So it's because of the fries without salt (the missing dishes) that we definitely won't go there anymore! French fries without salt is a very simple customer request! There are definitely more people who cannot eat everything for their health!

As far as I like it here, I ate here for the first time today and I liked it! Will repeat that again in the next few days. Fast and friendly service, great view of the south beach and the sea! 😃👍👍👋

The food was good. That’s it. The staff was very unfriendly, I called beforehand and asked if I could bring my dog ​​with me, this was answered in the affirmative, but when I arrived to take the reservation I should sit outside. When I asked for a bowl of water for my dog, I was told I could get water from the bathroom anytime. I was eating there alone with my dog, I wasn't allowed to take it in, I couldn't put it on a leash anywhere. The waitress gave no change and gave herself a tip of four euros. When I wanted to sort this out, no waiter was available. Waited 45 minutes for food, should order in two minutes and pay within five. The menu was not brought up again, for example for a dessert. In addition, no waiter paid attention to whether I wanted to order another drink. I didn't have any to eat because I had finished my coke within the waiting time. NOT RECOMMENDABLE!!

We have been here again this year because we were already very convinced of the restaurant 3 years ago, this time we were unfortunately a bit disappointed, so that it is not enough for 5 stars. We had a reservation for 7:30 p.m., but the table we had been assigned was not yet available, so we had to wait another 20 minutes because something in the reservation had generally gone wrong. However, they tried very hard to keep us happy, so that we could order our drinks quickly and choose food, which should then come to the table as we could. Unfortunately that didn't work out that well and after we finally sat at the table we had to wait another half an hour. The food for it was all the more delicious and available in abundance.

Unfriendly people

The menu is extensive, the restaurant is very finely decorated with old model ships - many famous sailing ships - and the view from the windows is really an experience: vast sea with shipping traffic. The cook is very friendly and knows his trade.

Highly recommended, 1A food, the chef not only masters the culinary delights, but also decorates the food in a visually appealing way. The subsequent espresso was served with a "glass of water". So far the only restaurant in Borkum, here you know how to serve something. For us a 3 star restaurant

We had potato soup and herb Matjes. Everything was good. A little pricey, but it‘s worth it. The view is great.
